First off, this blanket is not thick. When I first opened it I was kinda irked at how "thin" it was. After the first night using it, I have been impressed at how comfortable and warm this blanket keeps me. I'm going to buy a second one as a back up due to how much I enjoy this. I didn't measure mine but it seems to be true to size. There hasn't been any shedding. If any issues after washing I will update.
