Lately, I’ve had some issues with bedding and clothing being marketed as cotton and then being something else when I get it, which is making me a bit paranoid with shopping online. I wasn’t planning on using the shams, so I did a small burn test on one of them. I’m happy to report that the fabric on the top of the sham (same material as bedspread) is definitely cotton, and the batting is high enough percentage cotton that it burned instead of melting (and smelled like cotton when burning). I need breathable natural fiber bedding or I have issues sleeping, so I’m relieved this appears to be fully cotton. It’s lightweight but still has just enough weight to feel like I’ve got a blanket over me. I laundered it, and it’s a little stiff right now, but I’m sure it will soften up with use.

This quilt set is a great addition to my linens. This summer heat gave me a reason to find something different for my bedroom. The light material is incredibly comfortable and has really brightened up the room, adding a fresh, airy feel. The quilt is beautiful and soft. Sweating was a concern because of how hot it is now, but I didn't sweat with this quilt. So, it does seem to live up to the moisture absorption. The quilt seems very durable, which I'm glad to see. I've since washed it twice, and the colors haven't faded, or the seams have come undone. But I recommend you use warm or cold water when washing to avoid shrinkage. Cotton tends to shrink over time anyway, but if you are one who is worried about it, consider going up a size. I'm very pleased with this quilt. It's perfect for the summer and combines comfort, style, and practicality
