Different than expected but cozy
It is very cozy but it is way thinner than i was expecting, and it’s not a beige color, it’s definitely more of a peach / pink pearl color combo. Shown next to tan/beige sheets and my peach deodorant to show the color difference. It fits on top of our queen mattress but does not hang over much. I would size up to a king to have it fit like in the picture on the site. It is very soft though, and does have a cooling effect.

Best blanket ever, I don't wanna leave my bed!
I never right reviews but this deserves one! I'm very particular and have been looking for over 2mths for a comforter. Finally chose this one due to the low price and it being a microfiber brush fabric. Omg is this sooooo soft and ridiculously comfortable I dont wanna leave my bed! I asked my son what he thought about it and he curled up in my bed saying this was now his bed it was so cozy and comfortable. I'm now going to buy him his own blanket so he doesn't steal mine. I highly recommend this purchase!

Charcoal Black Cooling version is worth it
If you are a texture person then I think you will like the Charcoal Black Cooling version. Its not one of those puffy, billowy comforters that your mom has. Definitely thinner, but with a good weight. The best part is the reversible sides depending on the time of year. One side is a more bed sheet soft cotton material, whereas the other is a cool breathable material. Definitely works well in the hot summers. Already sleeping a lot better compared to previous comforter. Pillow covers are great too. Would recommend
