I deducted one star since this set doesn't include a flat sheet (which I don't understand)... but... This sheet, two pillow cases + a sweet gathered bag are amazingly soft and a light creamy white -- BEAUTIFUL The fitted sheet has extra extension straps for mattresses (or perhaps mattress + base piece) if you need "extra thick" coverage. The SIDE and TOP/BOTTOM tags help in putting it on without experimentation. I ran all pieces through the dryer on a steam setting to lift some of the fold marks. No offensive scent. The pieces have a nice heft/weight to them. I can't wait to sleep on the fitted sheet... just will miss having the matching top flat sheet I will put the sheet on tomorrow and will take a pic and update. Just by handling the sheet/cases, they feel and look luxurious -- feel SO soft yet thick. A few months ago yet again I had to find a fitted sheet we had around the house, because I had worn a hole in the one I was using. The flat sheet and pillow case were just fine, but the fitted sheet is what I move around on while I am asleep, and I wore it out, yet again. Some people don't have this problem . They say no, they don't wear out their fitted sheets like that. I don't know why, but they don't and I do. If you do too, you need extra fitted sheets like these. These are very deep pocket so no matter what mattress you have, they will fit. The white sheets are indeed a nice pure white, and they're quite smooth. Maybe these three will tide me over til the rest of my sheets also wear out, and I can start over with all new sets. I was wasting half of a set of sheets because I was mostly just wearing out the fitted sheets. The price is reasonable, since the fitted sheet is the most expensive part of a set of sheets. And these are good sheets, well sewn together.
