The entire duvet and set is wonderfully cool to the touch and soft textured. It is quite elastic and stretches a lot, so it flexes around you easily which also gives it a heavier weight to it. The weight helps it drape nicely over the sides, and also around you and helps to "press" the cooling fabric against your body while you sleep. PILLOWCASE: The pillow cases fit well and stretch and flex nicely, adding a bounce to my pillows while still being breathable. The white trim and piping looks so good! LOOK: Without any stitching decorations or embellishments, after making the bed it's kind of just a large, flat, single-colored surface in the center of the room. I just wish there was more of the piping from the cases around the duvet, or some more interesting details or features on the set in other places. INSERTS: It's worked well so far with both a polyester Bedsure duvet insert I had, and then after the next washing I went a step up and put this thin 150gsm "lightweight down feather" duvet insert inside, and it made this duvet feel even better! This made it more floaty, airy and squishier, where it kind of holds it's shape more and I can now curl up with it and take an armful of the blanket to hold when laying down. BETTER THAN BASIC COOLING BLANKETS: I love all the new "cooling" materials coming out, and we have a thin queen-size cooling blanket as well. This duvet cover is truly amazing. It may not be the most beautiful bedding but man it’s comfy and truly keeps me cooler than my previous cover. It’s very silky and the pillowcases have a grey piping along the edges, the duvet cover doesn’t. It’s fairly thin, so it’s see through, and a white insert would work best with this cover. There was no odor when removed from the packaging but I wash all my new linens and this one washed fine on gentle cycle (make sure to close the pillowcase zippers prior!) and took minimal time to air dry. This material doesn’t wrinkle much either! It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a cooling duvet cover. I’m really happy with it and can easily recommend.
