GentleSoft® Striped Washed Cotton Duvet Cover Set

I'm not a duvet expert but I've bad enough ones previously to know a quality one once I finally get it, and this one is quality. The fabric is durable yet soft, and very comfortable when pulled up with these cold winter nights we've been having up north. However, the thing I noticed were the ties inside at the corners. I wagered they were for fancy smanshy duvets to tie them in place, and a quick web search confirmed it - cool. If only mine would be set up to do it that would be great, so I just tied them around the corners of the duvet - then noticed my duvet had the loops to connect the ties! Oh, and no buttons! FINALLY, a cover with a full-length zipper across the bottom that makes it so much easier to get the duvet in and out for washing. I guess this is what happens when you've never had a cover designed well like this one. VERY happy with this one - finally!

I have to first disclose that I am addicted to high quality cotton sheets and have spent hundreds on duvet covers so I consider myself extra picky. It's one area where I overindulge! Having said that, I will summarize by saying that this duvet cover and pillowcases are a good buy for the price. They come in a cute cloth bag and feel soft right away. I washed them and they feel.very soft to the touch. The tan stripe pattern is very classy and clean looking. The other thing I would say, though, is that the material is pretty thin - would be good in the summer over a light blanket. Also when I put the material next to my face and my skin besides my hands, it does feel a bit scratchy. Compared to very smooth, heavier weight percale sheets, this feels initially a bit scratchy. I do have the feeling though that with washing, it should get softer. It depends on whether you use a duvet with a sheet or without and I like it without. So the material is right next to my skin and I really notice the smoothness level. I have bought several bedsure fleece blankets before and they are top notch and super soft, so I have had good experiences with this company and their other products. I would definitely say that in this price range, this cover is in the top range for sure.

It's very pretty! Soft and cozy, great for the winter! I sleep hot, so we'll see how it is in the summer. Much easier than I thought to put the blanket inside. There are many ties inside, but my blanket only has loops to tie on at each corner. It seems to be staying in place well though. I was incredibly apprehensive about this, but it has elevated the look of my bed quite a bit, and the pillow covers are pretty too! I actually make my bed now! I definitely recommend this duvet cover!
