Orthopedic Plush Flannel Dog Sofa

We have 3 large dogs, and we have two of these beds in the 42" length. They've been great for daytime spots for the dogs to snooze. However, notice that the measurement pictures do not state the thickness of the sleep area (only the height of the whole bed including the bolster). This bed is thin compared to other beds we've owned, which is why I took off 1 star. All 3 of our dogs seem to get uncomfortable after laying on it for more than a couple hours. So we have other beds they use for their longer overnight stretches. I don't know if the 48" would've been thicker sleep surface. I also wish the bolster came out before washing, but that's not a deal breaker. I do love that it is OEKO certified and has a waterproof liner - which can be difficult to find! I ordered this as a travel bed for my pup (pictured), but I am ordering a different one that's a little larger with less bolster and thicker cushion. He can't stretch his legs out fully on this 42" one unfortunately. I think with that size he is too confined by the bolster. He is a 90 lb chow/lab/shepherd mix and loves to sprawl.
