Cooling Mattress Pad

We needed a new mattress pad for our Cal King mattress. This Bedsure Breescape Cooling Mattress Pad is fluffy soft. It is 100% polyester fiber batting so I know it will flatten out over time but I will definitely enjoy it while still fluffy. As for sizing, it is the perfect width but about an inch short on the length.

The mattress pad looks clean and neat on my queen mattress and it feels soft and comfortable. It even fit my oversized mattress with pillow top just fine with no issues. However, the cooling isn't really there. While it does not get hot, it does not necessarily provide the cooling effect I had hoped for. If you are looking for cooling mattress pad, I would look elsewhere. This still makes a good mattress pad/protector imo. True rating: 3.5 stars of 5.

This mattress pad comes vacuum sealed and quickly puffs up once the package is opened. I felt very optimistic upon opening it - because the pad actually felt cool to my touch, so I immediately put it on the bed and hoped for a good night's sleep. We turn the heat down to 64 degrees at night and I use one velux blanket and a very thin comforter – and I still wake up numerous times throughout the night extremely warm and kicking the covers off. This mattress pad is well made, provides a firm softness – but it didn't help to cool me off during the night. I didn't want to judge it based on just one night, but I had the same results the second evening. Yes, perhaps the area where my legs lay feels cooler – but where my torso is (and I weigh 130 pounds), me and this mattress pad, are very warm.
