I owned a down comforter in the past and it was not nearly as nice as this one. This comforter is well made with ample goose feathers. The feathers are sewn into a multitude of squares that keep them evenly distributed across the entire comforter. We have been using it for several weeks and it works great. Keeps me nice and warm without being heavy or bunching up. This is the one to get!

This is a great quality actual down comforter. With the corner tabs, it is definitely something that is ready to put inside a duvet cover but could also work OK as a stand-alone, although not as cozy as a nice fleece blanket. This MAY be something that will improve over time, but the only compliant my son had is that it is “noisy”. The outer covering is very durable but seems to “crinkle” a bit as it is fluffed around. Plenty warm and good quality.
