I have two large black German shepherd crosses that tend to get hot very easily. I’ve tried cooling mats that the liquid would not cover the entire thing and end up leaking. This bed is so much better and some added support. As soon as you touch the fabric it’s cold and stays cold pretty well. Now instead if the floor my dogs go for this bed to cool off then will actually go to my bed or the couch to get warm. Then right back to the cooling bed when hot. I will say I didn’t expect the water proof liner to actually work since many beds don’t. Yet my older dog had an accident and to my surprise the foam was dry I just had to wash the cover. Alsoi love that the cooling function isn’t liquid. My only complains is the fabric Snagged up pretty quickly even without a wash and I do wish the foam was a little more supportive. Yet this is my dogs favorite dog bed so far to keep their bodies cooled. I’ve washed it a few times and the cover still has its cooling properties the same as when it was new. I would definitely buy again.
