Why isn’t the blanket fluffy when I first open the package?

Large blanket, soft.. however it’s very thin. For some reason for the price I expected it to be a little thicker.. I know it’s a throw but seems a bit thin and maybe cheap? My cats seem to love it, and I guess that’s all that matters.
