The XL is huge, much bigger than I anticipated. We have a German shepherd/Lab mix and it recommend the XL. He has tons of room to spread out, we could have easily sized down but he seems happy with it. It arrived with the foam and outter layer rolled up and vacuum sealed. After unraveling everything, and starting to assemble it, I noticed a tear on the side. I was a bit disappointed by this. It makes me worry about longevity. This thing would have been an absolute pain to try and return, so I did my best to stitch it. This was also challenging, since I couldn't get at it from the inside. Also, the bed outer material is more gloss/velvety then the picture shows. Overall though the bed is nice, my 5'4 frame can curl up with my puppers and it's pretty comfy. It functions like it should and is warm. I like that it's washable. My dog hasn't tried to pee in it which is good, because im worried it would absorb into the padding below and ruin everything. So, let's hope we never cross that bridge and it continues to smell like dog and not pee!
My sweet girl recently lost her vision, and finding something that would keep her comfortable and secure was so important to me. She took to this bed right away—it was like she knew it was hers. The soft fabric and just-right cushion make it easy for her to snuggle in, and the bolstered edges give her something to lean against, which she’s always loved. I also love how easy it is to move from room to room so she can stay by my side wherever I am. It brings me peace seeing her so cozy and content in it. Truly happy with this purchase for her!
