Beauty Sleep Pillowcases

I ordered the Bedsure Cooling Pillowcase in Gray (more of a silver color than gray). Its silky fabric helps to reduce morning bedhead and protects my hairstyle. Although I have a 'standard' size pillow, it's an orthopedic tri-core pillow that is rather snug fitting in standard pillowcases; so I ordered the queen size pillowcase. It fits well; and with the discrete end zipper, it stays completely enclosed and protected (see image). Bonus is the cooling effect that will be much appreciated as I intend to use one of these pillowcases in an RV for camping.

I have been using these cooling pillow cases for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that they remain cool all night. I usually run hot, and toss, turn and flip my pillow in search of cooler spots throughout the night. This is the first time I have ever tried any type of cooling bedding, and I love it. The big surprise was that my husband actually loves it, too. It works. It stays cool and I don’t have to flip my pillow like I used to because there is always a cool spot (for reference, my husband and I also sleep with a fan going, so this also helps with the overall temp in our room). I had also heard about the benefits to your skin and hair when using a silk pillow and while I can’t necessarily see any change in my skin, it does feel soft and smooth in the morning. These cases fit over my standard size, soft (for stomach sleepers) down pillow, and a pillow protector.

I sleep hot, and these pillowcases have been a genuine game changer. The cooling effect is immediate and real, not a gimmick. I actually kept quiet about switching them out just to see if my husband would notice. He did, on the very first night, and commented on how cool they felt. That's a pretty solid blind test. The color is a soft, light silvery-grey that blends seamlessly with existing grey bedding. I wouldn't call myself an expert on the silk vs. satin distinction, but honestly, these feel luxurious either way. I've also noticed my hair is less dry and softer in the morning compared to sleeping on cotton...a small but welcome bonus. On the downside, the 3% HA and Ceramides claim is a bit of a stretch. I haven't noticed any skin hydration benefit, and I'd be skeptical of that selling point. The zipper also feels slightly cheap, the inside isn't sewn down, which is a minor but noticeable quality miss. To be fair, once it's zipped, it's mostly hidden with just the small pull showing. One more thing: whoever wrote "Gifts for Women" in the title should reconsider. My husband is just as enthusiastic about these as I am. Bottom line: if you sleep hot, just get them. The ceramides pitch is probably just marketing, but the cooling? Completely legit. Also, this brand is worth it. I didn't realize until after getting these pillow cases that I also have a cozy bedspread made by them. The brand is 5 star and worth the price.
