These dogs beds are the only beds I will buy for the rest of my life that I have with dogs. I’ve had one for about two years and it has been through hell and back and still looks new. The waterproof cover for each layer is amazing especially for when messy accidents like diarrhea happen. I just go outside and hose the cover down along with the two layers and wash the cover and it’s good as new. I have bought 4 of these beds. Two for my two dogs and two for my grandmothers dogs and they all love the beds so much.

Bought the 36" x 27" which is overly large for cats, but ours like to cuddle. It came with both waterproof covers, the gel and foam expanded as expected and the bed has been a big hit. At present it's on the end of our bed, the cats took to it immediately, and there's absolutely no smell--I was worried being overly sensitive to chemicals/smells. Whether sleeping alone or with cuddle buddies, it's the most used bed in the house. Oh, also purchased Bedsure's 35.0"L x 25.0"W big Washable Dog Sofa Bed at the same time, placed on the floor which has also been a big hit. It doesn't have an smell either. Very happy with both beds, excellent quality.

I've only bought one other dog bed in the past that was 1/3 the price of this one, so I don't have much to compare it to. However, right off the bat, I'm happy with the quality and comfort. I laid on it because my dog prefers laying where my scent is, I personally found it comfortable. Hopefully my dog agrees.
