ReflexHeat Pet Heating Mat

My sister lives next to a group of three feral cats. Even in Florida, the temperature can drop to the low 40’s at night in winter. I ordered this cat heating pad as a safer option than the reptile heat lamp she had rigged on her covered patio. There is plenty of room for the cats to snuggle together (large pad) and we don’t have to worry that the cats will knock over a heat lamp. The cover is machine washable, which is great. The cord is very durable and not likely to be chewed. It is a little expensive, but well worth it if you are trying to help a stray cat or two endure a cold winter night.

TLDR: This is a nice heating mat that can work either indoors or outdoors. It doesn't heat up that much (mostly just retains the heat that is on it while mildly warming the cat up), but keeps the cat comfortable. I wish there was a way to control the heat since as it stands, the only method of using the heating function is whether the mat is plugged in or not. - The package I received included the mat and a manual/instruction page. - The mat's plug is a thick wire with a metal coil around it to discourage chewing it. - The mat's cover is very soft and great at trapping heat. - The warming function only starts and stays on if the mat is plugged in. The only way to manually turn it off is to unplug the mat. - The temperature that the mat gets to isn't that high, but combined with trapping your cat's own heat, it makes for a comfortable combination for your cat to lounge and lay. - I am mostly confident that this product will not overheat my cat, nor will it burn anything into my indoor carpet. - Having a washable cover is a nice addition that will push the longevity of this mat, especially if it is to be used outdoors.

This outdoor cat bed warmer will be a good addition to my cathouse I have out every winter for the feral cats here where I live. It's nice sized, well made, love the washable cover that will make cleaning it so much easier. It's set to warm up once the cats lay on it. My only gripe I guess you could call it, is there's no on/off switch for this, it's a steady on all the time. Other than that am very happy with this and I know the cats will be too!
