It is very poofy
I thought I was getting a cooling pad (ye olde hot flases) and I got a thick, poofy pillow top. I felt the coolness the first few nights I slept on it, now (after a few weeks) I have either adjusted to it. I am not noticing the coolness when I go to bed, anymore. But I'm not waking up in a pool of sweat, either. But that is me. We have the dual mattresses Sleep Number bed, my husband does not want the extra thickness, so I only got one, for my side (the left). You can see the difference in the photo.

As advertised cooling comfort
Just enough cushion and cooling comfort. Fit perfect and great quality . Thickness is approximately extra 2” inches all said and done very good performance
