56% of People in the US say their Office is too Cold. Get Warm and Comfy with these Blankets

With more and more people returning to work as COVID-19 vaccines roll out across the world, people are facing the prospect that the office may not be as comfortable as home.

In the modern office, many people feel cold – especially in summer when air conditioners are sometimes turned up too high. In terms of workplace temperature and staff comfort, “we're all a little different here and that one size doesn't fit all.” So, we sometimes need to put on a sweatshirt or bring a blanket with us to work in order to feel comfortable and be more productive.

Women, in particular, tend to feel colder at work. According to Dr Devi Nampiaparampil of the NYU School of Medicine, "Women tend to have lower basal metabolic rates, so they tend to burn off energy a lot slower.'' In other words, "They actually give off less heat than men, so they tend to be colder." So, women may have an extra need to put on a shawl or wrap in a comfy blanket.

The effect of a too-cold office may do more harm than just feeling uncomfortable, according to Kenneth McLeod, a Professor at the Clinical Science and Engineering Research Laboratory at the State University of New York:

Working in a cold office slows your metabolism. In addition to making weight management challenging, sluggish metabolic rates are linked to lowered immune response, heart damage and increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

Wearing more layers of clothing and bringing a blanket to work may help women and men avoid the health risks of a cold office. Blankets are easy to put on and take off, and also provide comfort around the body while softening a hard office chair.

Blankets are made for comfort and warmth, yet not all blankets are created equally. Bedsure Home has a diverse range of blankets to provide versatility, comfort, body coverage and affordability. If you’re just looking for a blanket to cover just a particular part of your body, such as your legs or shoulders, then a smaller one would be suitable. If you’re freezing at work – up and down – then a bigger size, such as a King size, can cover you from head to toe.

If you’re looking for a warmer, thicker blanket then the Flannel Fleece Blanket, made out of 100% microfiber, is a good choice. It is very soft and smooth, which creates a gentler and more relaxing experience than a rougher fabric. It also comes in a diverse range of solid colors to either energize or calm you at work.

For those who like patterns and texture, a Waffle Weave Blanket works well. Wrapping up in a 50% Bamboo and 50% Cotton Waffle Weave Blanket or 100% Cotton Waffle Weave Blanket, can be just the thing to relax and feel comfy at work. These blankets provide lightweight thermal comfort and are great for draping over an office chair. Bamboo provides greater breathability and cotton greater strength and durability.

If the temperature in your workplace fluctuates between being ice-cold and brutally hot then a Bedsure Cooling Blanket is a great option. One of the strengths of this product is that is reversible, with a nylon and polyester side for hot temperatures and a cotton side for cool temperatures. This makes it versatile, no matter how chilly or mild the temperature is in your office.

All in all, Bedsure Home blankets help you feel comfortable and cozy in any kind of office. This makes even the most difficult work feel achievable and the coldest office feel warm and relaxing.
